Stayed at a charming 240-year-old cottage in the Lake District. Cozy living area, comfy beds, and a lovely view of the lake. No phone signal or wifi, perfect escape! Cons: Almost missed it, angles were a challenge for big cars and turning right was like playing chicken with traffic.

Despite its small appearance, the cottage comfortably accommodated our group of ten. the beds were cozy, and the living area was spacious. We enjoyed gathering in the well-equipped kitchen and dining area, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. the cottage provided all necessary amenities, including a bathroom upstairs and a shower room and separate toilet downstairs. the highlight was the picturesque view of Brotherswater Lake, right in front of the cottage. There was plenty of parking space available, and it was the perfect retreat from the distractions of internet and mobile phone connectivity. For a nominal fee, we could enjoy the fireplace by purchasing logs on an honesty basis. The TV with free Sky channels and DVD player provided entertainment during our stay. Cons: Nothing, all was good! 😊.

Our stay at Brothersfield Cottage was absolutely delightful. We were looking for a peaceful getaway, and this charming 18th-century cottage was the perfect choice. With no internet or phone connection, we were able to truly disconnect and enjoy quality time together. The cottage itself was spacious and comfortable, accommodating our group of 10 with ease. We loved the cozy living area, well-equipped kitchen, and the stunning view of Brotherswater Lake. Ample parking, a washer and dryer, and the option to purchase logs for the fireplace were added bonuses. a fantastic experience!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more, it was truly a gem.

I absolutely loved my stay at this charming cottage! It may look small from the outside, but it comfortably accommodated our group of 10. The beds were cozy and the living area was spacious. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for cooking and enjoying meals together. The location, right next to Brotherswater Lake, was absolutely beautiful. We had ample parking space for our cars. The cottage even had a washer and a coin-operated dryer, which was really convenient. I also appreciated the availability of logs for the fireplace, with an honesty payment system. Additionally, the TV with free Sky channels and DVD player provided entertainment during our downtime.
Nothing, all excellent.

We recently stayed at Brothersfield Cottage and were pleasantly surprised by its charming and historic atmosphere. the sign above the front door, dating back to 1781, immediately sets the tone for a truly authentic experience. Despite its small appearance, the cottage comfortably accommodated all ten of us. the beds were cozy, the living area was spacious, and the kitchen and dining area felt like a home away from home. We particularly appreciated the privacy and seclusion provided by the lack of internet connectivity and mobile phone reception. the location, overlooking Brotherswater Lake, was simply breathtaking, and there was ample parking space for our convenience. the cottage also provided essential amenities such as a bathroom upstairs with a toilet, a shower room downstairs, and an extra toilet. For those chilly evenings, we were able to enjoy the warmth of the fireplace, with logs conveniently available for purchase on an honesty basis. We had access to a TV with free Sky channels and a DVD player for entertainment. Cons: Nothing, all was good. 😊.

Stayed at a time machine-like cottage, older than my great-great-grandparents. Surprisingly spacious for 10 of us. No internet or phone line, perfect to disconnect. Comfy beds, big living area, and a cozy fireplace. Beautiful location. Parking and laundry facilities available.
Dangerously hidden and difficult to reach.

Comfortable beds, spacious living area, well-equipped kitchen, beautiful location
Don't have any issues at all.

Beautiful views of the surrounding lake and mountains. Cozy and comfortable living area with a fireplace. Great for a digital detox, no internet or phone signal. Ample parking space for cars.
Tricky to find without offline maps and difficult to turn into the premises with a big car. Turning right from the gate is dangerous due to poor visibility of oncoming traffic from the left.

A charming 240-year-old cottage that fits 10 people comfortably and provides a perfect escape from internet connectivity. Beautiful location, comfy beds, spacious living areas, and a well-equipped kitchen. Just remember your offline map, because it's so easy to find!
It's definitely not the usual city center hotel. Oh wait, that's actually a pro!
